I've been wanting to do a home conversion of ADK's great Ninja Master's
game for the Neo Geo for quite some time. I had a spare Neo Geo Japanese
Fatal Fury 3 home cartridge that would make a great host for the "ghetto
labeled" original Ninja Master's MVS cartridge that I had. So I took
the opportunity to do just that while I watched the VA Tech Hokies Play
football on Saturday. It went something like this... watch a the
play, desolder between play, watch a play, desolder between play, etc.
Before I knew it, I had stripped all 4 boards clean!
Details:
Remove the V, P, S, M, and C chips from the Sacrifice Fatal Fury 3 boards.
Put them aside.
Remove the V, P, S, M and C chips from the Ninja Master's MVS cartridge.
Place them in their corresponding locations on the sacrifice Fatal Fury
3 boards. Solder them up nice and clean, take your time. Congratulations,
you're almost done. Jumper changes are required
on the CHAR256RY board.
Here are the correct jumper settings, label and insert:

Here is the art that I slapped together. I could only find low-res
scans of the stuff on the 'net so I did the best that I could given
the materials at hand. I decided to stick with the Japanese version.
I did a bit of editing on the original cover art. Can you
tell?
