This is perhaps the easiest conversion one can
do if one uses the correct sacrificial cart in the process. Don't believe
those that lead you down the path of using a lesser cartridge that demand
skills and knowledge not available or spoken of in well mannered circles.
Those that like to create a jumble of wire jumpers, know the technology
inside and out, feel free to use a Samurai Shodown 2 cartridge. A straight-up
wire jumper free conversion is not possible. Why? The PROG circuit board
for the Samurai Shodown 2 cartridge expects 16meg sound chips. Magical
Drop III uses 32meb chips. It can be done but why bother with all of that
fuss and hackery? Anyway.
To do an easy "no jumper changes required" job choose the old faithful
Fatal Fury 3 as the sacrificial cartridge. You probably could use another
cartridge like King of Fighters 95 or 96 but I have not attempted that.
go that way on your own chaps.
Remove the V, P, S, M, and C chips from the Sacrifice Fatal Fury 3 boards.
Put them aside.
Remove the V, P, S, M and C chips from the Magical Drop III MVS cartridge.
Place them in their corresponding locations on the sacrifice Fatal Fury
3 boards. Solder them up nice and clean, take your time. Congratulations,
you've just converted the cartridge to home format! Wow, that was too
easy.
Next, it is time for the artwork. Abracadabra. here it is! Ain't
