Hello Everyone,
I just sacrificed (click here for more background information about this process)a beat up Fatal Fury 3 (Japanese) version to be the host of a Blazing Star home conversion. The conversion went pretty well except for one aspect.. Figuring out the correct jumper settings. You see, this was not just a straight one for one jumper swap. It took quite a bit of experimenting before I got it right. Anway.. Here's what I've got so far.
Here's a snapshot of the game in action. (Note that the cartridge still sports the Fatal Fury 3 label). I'll be working up the insert and label later this week.
You do not need to change any jumper on the SAC PROGBK1Y. Just move the "V" and "P" chips from the MVS cart board to this one.
Now on to the CHAR256RY Fatal Fury 3 board. Move all of the "C" chips from the MVS board to this one. Also move the M1 and S1 chip. Here are the correct jumper settings:
